Luís Filipe Madeira Caeiro Figo was born 4 November 1972 in Almada, Portugal. Figo is a professional Portuguese footballer. In his homeland Figo is considered by some second only to Eusebio as Portugal’s greatest player ever. He plays as a midfielder and winger, currently for Internazionale. Figo was Portuguese football’s original Golden Boy (a name which now belongs to Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo) and gained fame as the main footballer behind Portugal’s prominent Golden Generation that consisted of fellow legends like Rui Costa, and was the reason why the term came into use.

Rio Gavin Ferdinand was born 7 November 1978 in Peckham, London. Ferdinand is an English footballer of mixed St Lucian, Dominican and Anglo-Irish descent. He plays at centre-back for Manchester United in the Premier League and at the international level for the England national football team. He has achieved 65 caps for the English national team, while been selected for three FIFA World Cup squads. He began his career with West Ham United and was then transferred to Leeds United, 20 months before he joined Manchester United.

Frank James Lampard, Jr. was born 20 June 1978. Lampard is an English football player currently at Chelsea and previously with West Ham United and Swansea City. Lampard made his return against Liverpool in a 0-0 draw at Stamford Bridge. On February 16, 2008, Lampard scored his 100th and 101st goals for Chelsea in a 3-1 victory in the sixth round of the FA Cup against Huddersfield Town. Lampard also provided the final pass for Salomon Kalou to score Chelsea’s third goal. After the final whistle, Lampard paid tribute to the Chelsea fans, wearing a shirt with the message “100 Not Out, They Are All For You, Thanks”

Didier Yves Drogba Tébily was born March 11, 1978 in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Drogba is a footballer from Côte d’Ivoire who currently plays for Chelsea in the English Premier League. Also known as “The Drog”, He was the Premier League top scorer in 2006-2007 with 20 goals. He was the 2006 African Footballer of the Year.

Kristi Tsuya Yamaguchi was born July 12, 1971. Kristi is an American figure skater and the 1992 Olympic Champion in women’s singles. Yamaguchi also won two World Figure Skating Championships in 1991 and 1992 and a U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 1992. She won two national titles in 1989 and 1990 and one junior world title in 1988 as a pairs skater with Rudy Galindo. In December 2005, she was inducted into the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame. Yamaguchi was a local commentator on figure skating for NBC 11 during the 2006 Winter Olympics.
