David Wheater stunned the home fans with a headed goal on the stroke of half-time which Everton keeper Tim Howard parried over his line in agonising fashion.

 Lionel Messi and Sergio Aguero spearhead a 21 man roster for forthcoming friendlies against US and Mexico, it was confirmed on Monday. Argentina will face Mexico on June 4 in San Diego, and then the Unites States in New York. These games are meaningful for Argentina in order to prepare for World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Brazil in mid-June. Other names included on the roster were Javier Zanetti, Nicolas Burdisso, Esteban Cambiasso and Julio Cruz. One big surprise it is the absence of Manchester United forward Carlos Tevez.
